A visitor from Deepest, Darkest Peru…

No, not Paddington bear, I had a lady come to me from Bangor looking to get a rare tapestry stretched with no visible frame.
The tapestry was hand made, embossed, large and extremely heavy and she had bought it whilst on holiday in Peru.
Mounting such a large cloth item poses a number of problems beyond the weight and dimensions. The mounting was 4 inches deep at the centre and it takes some work and no small amount of engineering to ensure something this big does not sag when hung on the wall.
As with other items of this type, when it was finally put together I advised the client on how to hang such a beautiful special item in their home.
